At the Ruth Hyde Day Camp, girls will immerse themselves in the classic Girl Scout tradition of outdoor adventure and skill-building. Led by dedicated volunteers, campers will learn practical skills like fire building, orienteering, and knife safety, all while fostering a sense of community and making new friends. This camp offers a unique, girl-led environment where campers can explore their interests, build confidence, and create lasting memories through fun and educational outdoor activities.
Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington is a community & culture summer camp in Portland, OR for ages 6 to 17. Tuition starts at $60 and goes up to $95 per session. Day camps are planned and run by dedicated Girl Scout volunteers. Each day camp has its own program and culture, and all camps give girls and volunteers the opportunity to have great Girl Scout experiences. With outdoor activities like fire building, orienteering, knife safety, cooking, and games, there’s something for every girl! Day camps typically run for five days, with some camps offering an optional overnight. Day camp is open to all girls entering first grade and up.
